Connecting Curious Dots

On the intersection of technology, culture, and everyday life: My semi-updated space to collect and link my thoughts about interesting things I spot.

Benefits of Looking at Graffiti Online

Graffetiarcheology2_2 I’m a sucker for interactive, time lapse series, but it was the block long stretch of graffiti wall, around the corner, that recently dissappeared under a coat of solid maroon, that reminded me about a site I love, Graffiti Archaeology.  The project collects and studies graffiti-covered walls as they change over months and years.  (There is also a Flickr group).

Clicking across the site’s timeline, one sees in fast forward the morphing, dissappearance, and reappearance of graffiti in particular places.  Online, that particular person’s/moment’s mark can be rediscovered.
